This folder contains compressed images of the distribution GNU/Linux
FUSS 12 (based on Debian 12 "bookworm") for the architecture amd64 or
for specific machines to be installed using Clonezilla
(https://clonezilla.org).

The Clonezilla images are 2:

- fuss-12-amd64-client-aaaammgg-img.tar: image with MBR partitioning
scheme compatible with both BIOS (legacy) and UEFI.

- fuss-12-amd64-client-gpt-aaaammgg-img.tar: image with GPT
partitioning scheme GPT partitioning compatible with UEFI machines
  only.

It also contains "live" ISO images of FUSS 12 including the installer.

The *client* images are usable in a FUSS network, by joining the
server using the fuss-client command.

The *live* ISO image are

- fuss-12-amd64-live-education-yyyymmdd.iso: it contains all the educational
packages both in the live and after the installation is complete.

- fuss-12-amd64-live-base-yyyymmdd.iso: it is a lighter FUSS version without
  educational packages.

The credentials of the live images are the standard Debian ones: (user - live)

The credentials for administering the images created with Clonezilla
are (root - fuss).

The local user in the *client* images before the join has credentials
(local-fuss - local-fuss).

The file sha256sums.txt in this directory contains checksums of the images and
is signed by the gpg key C00D47EF47AA6DE72DFE1033229CF7A871C7C823 which can be
retrieved from https://archive.fuss.bz.it/apt.gpg

To verify the checksums, first add the key to your gpg keyring:

   wget -O- https://archive.fuss.bz.it/apt.gpg | gpg --import

then download the checksums and signature files:

   wget https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/sha256sums.txt
   wget https://iso.fuss.bz.it/fuss12/client/sha256sums.txt.asc

verify the signature:

   gpg --verify sha256sums.txt.asc

it should give a result like:

gpg: assuming signed data in 'sha256sums.txt'
gpg: Signature made Fri 10 May 2024 11:13:18 CEST
	gpg: using RSA key C00D47EF47AA6DE72DFE1033229CF7A871C7C823
gpg: Good signature from "Fuss Package Repository <packages@fuss.bz.it>" [unknown]
gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
	Primary key fingerprint: C00D 47EF 47AA 6DE7 2DFE 1033 229C F7A8 71C7 C823

and then download the images you need and verify their checksums with:

   sha256sum -c sha256sums.txt
